Ira began his financial career in 1989 as an accountant and auditor, analyzing the financial statements of corporations both large and small, He provided solutions to lower taxes, reduce expenses, increase income, and stay compliant with corporate policy and procedures. In 1997, he decided it was time to do what he really wanted, which was to help families achieve their lifelong financial goals. Since transitioning from accounting to financial planning, Ira has worked with some of the most prestigious financial firms in the industry.
These experiences led him to established Financial Peak, a Registered Investment Advisory firm that provides personalized financial advice related to retirement planning, investment management, tax planning, insurance, social security, long term care and estate planning. He uses an investment approach that is backed by decades of academic research and financial science and a financial planning process that helps clarify financial situations, prioritize goals, and addresses concerns. Next, he provides discipline, perspective, and guidance to help stay the course towards a more secure financial future.
Ira received a Master of Business Administration at Long Island University, Bachelor of Science in Economics and Accounting at the State University of New York Oneonta University. He also obtained the Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Consultant professional designations. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and when he is not helping clients, you can find him spending time with his wife and two young children while keeping active outdoors.
