When I was young, my dad was diagnosed with cancer. I remember overhearing my parents one evening as they were trying to figure out what to do with his 401(k). It was clearly a source of tremendous stress.
Even as a kid, that didn’t make sense to me.
Families shouldn’t spend their precious time and energy picking funds for their retirement accounts (or figuring out what to do with RSUs, for that matter). I believe that there are better ways to spend an evening — and my goal is to make that possible for you.
My name is Alan Hensley. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ PROFESSIONAL with 15+ years experience in wealth management. I specialize in helping professionals and families simplify their finances and make smart choices with money. I am equally comfortable working with a technology professional to figure out stock options and employee benefits — or helping someone who’s about to retire build a peaceful retirement strategy.

One thing you’d never guess about me is that I co-authored a children’s book with my old daughter. Yes, the book is about investing!
